George Washington’s Gristmill Park

• Located on Layton Road, less than 1 mile from center of town.
• Summer Hours: May 27 through Sept. 2 Saturdays Only - 10 AM to NOON and 1 PM to 4 PM; other days by appointment. To schedule a visit on another day of the week please e-mail leart@midmon.com.
• Admission Charged.

George Washington’s 1776 Gristmill

The original foundation was restored in 1992; the 3-story framework was rebuilt in 1999.

Shreve’s 1790's-Era Distillery

• Reconstructed to its original layout. Believed to be the only remaining distillery in SW. PA from the Whiskey Rebellion of 1794.
 

1890's-Era Bakery

• This building still has its original stone bake oven.
 

Fort Trial

• Replica of a 1774 blockhouse.
 

Searight’s 1815 Fulling Mill

• Located on Strawn Road, 1/4 mi. from George Washington's Gristmill Park.
• Believed to be the only remaining early fulling mill in Pennsylvania, and possibly the only one in the Eastern United States.
• Listed in the Pennsylvania Register of Historic Sites.
